Oakbrook Park Apartments
Renovation
Crumlish & Crumlish is proud of a truly amazing building renovation. The Oakbrook Park Apartments had an existing 10,000 SF mixed-use office, apartment, and maintenance building on the property that was not providing adequate return-on-investment for the Owner. Renovation designs provided a complete interior remodeling to create twelve new apartments, on two floors.
The new apartment units will be ADA-adaptable and feature modern amenities for a combination of one- and two-bedroom units. Extensive renovation plans included structural framing systems, new windows, doors, stairways, interior walls, bathrooms, as well as individual HVAC and electrical sub-systems. The project was completed in the Spring of 2016 at a cost of $800,000.

Castle Point Apartments
One of the largest apartment complexes in South Bend, with over 740 apartment units on 52 acres, Castle Point Apartments also has one of the largest multi-use clubhouses, at over 18,000 square feet. Originally designed in the mid-1970's the clubhouse interior featured three handball courts, a basketball court and a tennis court.
Extensive renovation plans included ADA-accessible restrooms, a new Limited-Use / Limited Access passenger elevator, a new 'kids-climber,' exercise rooms, tanning beds, game rooms, offices, a social hall and pool changing areas.
Crumlish & Crumlish also provided design consultations on a complete exterior paint renovation for the complex, new parking garages and interior common space renovations for individual building entry halls and stairways. The project was completed in the Spring of 2016 at a cost of $1,500,000.
Parkview Terrace Apartment Complex
Renovation
Crumlish & Crumlish, working with Ownership, created a comprehensive renovation plan. The existing site contained three, 3-story apartment buildings and maintenance building.
The $5,500,000 construction project was completed in November 2012 and featured interior renovations for 108 apartment units. A combination of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom penthouse units are featured in each building. All units received new kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, painting, and lighting upgrades.
Crumlish & Crumlish also designed a new 3,000 square foot Community Center featuring a new meeting room with hi-speed Internet access for tenants, an exercise room, restrooms, and laundry facilities.
